We also try to minimise the impact on the environment where ever possible in clean up, disposal and recycling of paint products. Conventional paints can make the air you breathe a chemical cocktail, even long after they have dried, as they continue to release petroleum based solvents, called Volatile Organic Compounds ( VOCs), as they cure.
We provide our service after hours, on weekends, during holiday periods and any other time when works can be carried out with minimal downtime. All of our employees are screened to have an impeccable record both professionally and legally. We are interested in serving our clients over the long term - therefore always discussing long term solutions with them.
At K & D Bak Painting and Decorating we have a handful of preferred paint products that we choose to use. Born in Ballarat in 1935, this is now a fourth generation family owned and operated business. Exterior - Haymes Solashield - this is their finest exterior paint ever made which combines superior UV resistance in a water based product.
Using specialty paints is a great way to add additional colour and a unique decorating statement. Suede - this is an interior paint that echoes the look of suede. Chalkboard - Get creative and transform any surface into a chalkboard, Perfect for cafes, kitchens, workplaces and children's play areas.
Weatherboards were pressure washed, sanded and reprimed and sealed before two coats of Haymes Ultra Premium Exterior were applied. The previous owner was also a heavy smoker with the walls being heavily stained. After the kitchen was pulled out as well as a couple of walls knocked out or reduced we came in to repaint the whole house.

I always try to support small business, and this company was exceptional. David the owner, performed his job perfectly. He was reliable and arrived when he said he would. He used quality paint, and his attention to detail was amazing. We had the interior painting done with a view to selling our home, and I believe the work he did on the interior contributed to the quick sell (1 day). When quoting the job, he made sure that you understood everything, and offered useful suggestions to improve how it looked at the end. I would highly recommend this business to anyone.

David recently painted the interior of our home and it looks amazing. A couple of feature walls really give it that extra pizzaz. David is extremely professional and we were very impressed with his attention to detail. He quickly became part of the family with his quiet, easy going nature. We will miss him for a while but have booked him up to paint the exterior of the house next year. We are looking forward to having him back.
