Approaching a psychologist to ask for help to deal with challenges in your life is no small thing. Quite the opposite, it requires courage and honesty to acknowledge you can't do it on your own. For the past 10 years, I've had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life to watch them prosper and live life to the full.
We all know what it is like to feel low or down for a couple of days. However, if you're struggling with a constant feeling of intense sadness and you've lost interest in the things you usually enjoy, it's time to seek professional help. As a clinical psychologist who's worked for more than a decade with people who suffer from depression, I use mindfulness-based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).
