Brisbane Harmony Centre
The Brisbane Harmony Centre is a psychology clinic founded on our philosophy of integrated wellbeing. In each of our interactions with clients, colleagues and the community at large, we work to enhance people's overall wellbeing to the best of our ability. Knowing your core values and living in harmony with them is foundational to your wellbeing.

Our approach is trauma informed, and we are working to be a centre of excellence in trauma focused therapy, peer support and training. We understand that people come to treatment at different stages of recovery. We engage people at the stage of recovery they are in, and we work to be a helpful part of their pathway to greater wellbeing.
Services
Jingal is a registered psychologist who is passionate about helping people manage their psychological health so they can live a full and meaningful life. She has experience working across a variety of settings including clinical private practice, not-for-profit organisations, department of justice, and community support for high risk & vulnerable persons.
At the Brisbane Harmony Centre, your first appointment will involve a detailed assessment of your current difficulties and your life history. We will work with your goals and values to develop a therapeutic plan that addresses your current needs. This plan will evolve over time as you develop new skills and perspectives, and begin to heal yourself.
As part of the Brisbane Harmony Centre's philosophy of integrated wellbeing, we have prepared some readings for you. These may be simply informative, they may provide some self help for those who are not in need of face to face therapy. We're here to help! Please give us some feedback about how these were helpful, what we could improve, and what else you would like to read about!
At the Brisbane Harmony Centre, all of our psychologists offer trauma informed therapy. This does not mean that all we treat is trauma, but it does mean that we consider your learning history, and the possibility that you may have internalised unhelpful messages about yourself, others or the world around you as a result of some of your more difficult experiences.
When we are overwhelmed by an experience, our brains can process the experience in a very different way to normal, which can cause difficulties for us later. We have an automatic physiological response to address danger called the fight-flight-or-freeze response. This response is extremely valuable in maintaining our survival.

I have been attending here for over a year now. I came with the expectation of managing my distress, but I now know that healing and recovery is possible, because with the help of Brisbane Harmony Centre I am experiencing it myself. The psychologists here are all highly skilled and very experienced. I have always been treated with warmth, respect, and compassion. The rooms are beautiful, and relaxing. Client feedback is considered and responded to which shows values listed on their website are more than just nice words, they're actually something the team here live and work by. An example of this

Refused me services as my physical disability is an inconvenience to them. I requested to speak directly to the people making decisions to refuse me services as I was only allowed to communicate through an admin messenger. Instead of allowing any dialogue to actually clarify the false assumptions they have made such as my wheelchair will take up too much space in their waiting room, or that I might drop dead in their clinic they instead sent me a letter again through their admin person reiterating that they won't treat me due to false assumptions about my disability. I have been treated as nothing
