Every person and every situation is different, so we will tailor our approach to suit your specific needs. As well as addressing your symptoms we believe in finding and correcting the cause of your problem so that it doesn't happen again. We therefore perform a thorough assessment at your first visit to provide you with a provisional diagnosis in easy to understand terms.
A treatment plan will then be discussed with you to make sure you're comfortable with how we will proceed. Keeping you at the centre of the decision making process is always our priority. We are a preferred provider for NIB, and their affiliated health funds (GU Health, Qantas, AAMI, APIA, Suncorp, and TAL).

Services
Established in 1986 The Avenue Physiotherapy Centre was initially a practice focused on orthopaedic surgery rehabilitation, working with the Melbourne Orthopaedic Group and providing services to The Avenue Hospital. Since then we have diversified and now offer a wider range of services to the local community of Prahran, Windsor, and the surrounding suburbs.
We have experience managing a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, from general everyday aches and pains, to workplace injuries, sporting injuries, joint osteoarthritis, and orthopaedic surgery. See below for a list of the services we provide. Our primary goal with sporting injuries is simple- to keep you in the game.
In most circumstances the answer is no. Physiotherapists are sufficiently qualified to be first contact practitioners, and you do not need a GP referral to be able to claim rebates through private health insurance. However if you are a patient requiring treatment under Veteran's Affairs you will need a GP referral specifying which area of your body requires treatment.

After sustaining a musculoskeletal injury to my neck, I had an extremely limited range of movement and was experiencing a lot of pain. I consulted Craig and, following my initial appointment, I noticed a significant improvement and my pain subsided substantially. After a couple of visits within one week, my range of movement was back to normal and my pain had completely resolved. Craig was extremely professional and knowledgeable and rationalised his management. He provided me with a number of treatment strategies which were all effective and easy to combine. Thank you very much!

I saw Craig whilst visiting my son on a 3 month trip to Melbourne. I fractured my ankle not realising that this meant it was broken agggh! He was extremely professional, took time and patience to explain to me what exactly was going on with my ankle and gave me options for healing. I Would highly recommend him.

I first met Craig on the day after my ACL recon surgery, when he coached me through my first baby steps post-op. Over the coming weeks, he worked closely with me to monitor my progress and ensure that my every minute concern was addressed and that all questions were answered thoroughly and to my satisfaction.
Within minutes of meeting him, my parents and I were so impressed with Craig's depth of knowledge and understanding, and in his delivery of all information relevant to my condition at the time. (In fact, mum and dad wished to have the same attention given to their own issues and booked themselves
