Svend Petersen, our Director, launched Excelan in 1998 because he saw a way to do IT support differently. Working with large IT providers, he saw that the client gets the most value from the relationship with their engineer. It's the engineer that earns their trust, and gets to know their business inside-out.

The solution was simple: build a company of engineers and pour all our energy into delivering IT support. We left out the over-engineered project scopes. We left out the middle-men and gatekeepers too. When you want to talk to your engineer, you can call them straight away. When you want to talk to Svend, you know how to reach him.

We provide IT support to clients across Sydney, including document management and hosted servers. We'll give you practical advice, and direct access to an engineer who knows your business needs. M-Files document management with version control, workflows and an interface that works the way your staff do.
Our business is about technology. However its also about people and relationships. Managing those relationships and the accompanying expectations is our challenge. Our engineers not only have the necessary technical skills and capabilities but they also have the personality, people skills and adaptability to fit in with your organisation's culture.
Excelan's server plans are the cost-effective alternative. Running your own servers occupies valuable office space, and burns through power. You pay air-conditioning costs to stop servers overheating, even when nobody is in your office. We offer a better option. Because we host servers for business across NSW, we can deliver economies of scale for powering and managing your servers.
We'll be the IT support team for your organisation. Our experienced engineers give the personal service you'd receive from in-house staff. But with Excelan, you only pay for the support that you need. Responsiveness: we'll always have a back-up engineer on hand who knows your business, guaranteeing uninterrupted IT support.
If you're open to learning and have strong people skills, we'd like to hear from you. We will give you hands-on experience across the range of enterprise IT support services, with ongoing training and mentoring. All Excelan engineers work with corporate clients, so you must show that you are confident working in this environment.
