Tired and stressed from work or sore from going to the gym, then this is the treatment for you. Sports Massage is a more Mobility focus. It is best for general muscular soreness in multiple areas of the body. These aim to release the acute patterns of tension in the body from over use, through Myofacial Release and Stretching on contracted areas, by either following or crossing over the muscle fibres, fascia and tendons.
The action on the nervous system can be sedating and clients report experiencing a deep state of relaxation. Clients can also experience a feeling of lightness and flexibility in the area of pain or range of movement restrictions. It involves the use of warm glass cups or vacuum cups held by suction caused when warmed air in the cup cools, to massage the body by sliding along the muscle.
Dry Needling has the same goals and out comes as Remedial Massage but works better with more acute pain and localised symtoms. Myofascial Dry Needling is anatomically-based (not meridian or energy-systems based as in Chinese medicine and acupuncture). The focus is on key areas of concern, as assessed by the therapist.
Prior to seeking Adam's services I'd had shoulder issues for some time which are resolving well. I've had many sports/remedial massages in my time and I rate Adam very highly. His service is professional, very effective, clean, well priced and I'd recommend him to anyone. Adam is very knowledgeable and experienced.
