Dr Arvind Chawla holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (2006) and has completed the Australian Dental Council examinations from Oral Health Centre of Western Australia in 2011. He has extensive work experience in all aspects of dentistry at dental practices in NSW and South Australia. He has worked for family dental practices and corporate dental practices in NSW and SA for the last 9 years.
A crown is used to completely cap or cover a damaged/weakened tooth. Apart from providing strength, a crown can be used to improve its appearance, shape or alignment. A crown can also be placed on top of an implant to provide a tooth-like shape and structure for function. A dental implant is a procedure of replacing tooth whereby a titanium fixture or screw is placed into the jawbone.
