With over sixty years of experience being a human (daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, colleague, partner) and over thirty years of experience in the helping professions, I've learned a lot about life and people. Curious by nature, I've always been interested in what drives our behaviours, what we need in order to heal from old wounds and what we need to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
Kunaurra and Into Blue offer a Training Program for Supervisors, which is endorsed by PACFA. The program is made up of 3 x 2-day workshops, over a period of 4 months. Completion of this training will provide participants with the training required to register with PACFA as a recognised supervisor. In 2020, as a result of the pandemic, we took our training online, which was a huge success.
As relational beings, our intimate relationships are very important to us. Whilst they bring us a great deal of comfort and joy, there are times when they also cause emotional pain. My work with couples has taught me that, although there are some common issues in intimate relationships, there isn't a 'one size fits all' approach.
I use the Expressive Therapies approach to Sandplay, which is based on the work of Dora Kalff, a Jungian therapist who developed sandplay therapy in Switzerland in the 1950's and 1960s. The tactile and creative nature of sandplay therapy facilitates access to the unconscious mind, allowing the deeper aspects of the psyche to be explored and expressed in a safe and natural way.
