The Minister for Workplace Relations and Consumer Protection, Lisa Singh, has welcomed a decision by commercial and residential painting contractors to establish an industry standard in Tasmania. The new voluntary code was developed by a number of groups associated with the industry, including the Master Painters Association.

As a member we have the support of the association and importantly the association provides support to the consumers in Tasmania. Was keen to have some work done at my place but found Bob very rarely returns calls or responds to messages. On the occassions when I pinned him down, he made three appointments to meet at home and only turned up once. I had to follow up each time he didn't show, rather than him calling me. When he actually turned up he gave me poor direction on how to prep my walls for the project, which ended up wasting my time and money. Suggest people spend their time, effort, and money elsewhere.
