Recently had a cut and colour done by Jodie, who was friendly and professional, and who's expertise turned my vague idea into something amazing. I couldn't be happier with the beautiful bright colours Jodie created, which look incredible with my hair down or tied up. Absolutely recommend this salon, and I will definitely return!

After searching for 3 years for a good vegan salon that does amazing colour and having no success, I stumbled upon Hoopla! Finally I managed to get a colour I fell in love with! Jade did my colour and Jessie did my cut and neither disappointed.
The entire staff are so friendly and the salon is very warm and welcoming, but if you can’t go for anything else, make sure you go for a shampoo and head massage!

The hoopla team are so friendly and accommodating. I'm greeted with smiles everywhere I look. Feels like being at the spa. They offer a good range of high quality drinks as part of the service. And oh, the lie-down wash stations! Absolute heaven. No more neck pain. I can really enjoy the head massage now and have almost fallen asleep a few times. The hairdressers are skilled and will do whatever you ask but also know their craft well enough to negotiate for a good fit and healthy hair.

Had a fantastic colour with Andee a few weeks ago (colour is always amazing), then decided to come for a treat and had a blow wave on Saturday with the lovely Jade, an amazing blow dry, always looks great after a visit here, and had people noticing the colour again, so many compliments on the hair over the following 2 days. Love coming here and no matter your style there will be someone here that will be your perfect fit. I always better after a visit here, a little more spring in my step and always more confident

I attended Hoopla Salon (Brunswick) several years ago. My Hairdresser - great, hair color - great. Bit pricey but fine too. My last appointment - strange. After paying, the Owner approached me and said that I had forgotten my bottle of water. Whilst handing it back, she scoffed at my forgetfulness. Second, the Owner said that she knew it was… my water bottle because there was a hair on the bottle of water & that this strand of hair matched my hair, so therefore, this was my water bottle. Mockery for a second time - I never went back.

I had a great time there! I was a bit unsure of what I was doing, but the hairdresser was super supportive/helpful, and just made the whole experience great.
The place was a bit pricey, compared to men's barbers, but I guess you do get a higher quality of service/it's more of an experience of being pampered?
The only negative was that a few of the other staff seemed to lean a bit too hard into the making-your-customers-feel-extra-special thing, to where it felt like they were talking to me like I was their best friend, when we'd barely even talked at all (it felt a bit too sycophantic for me

Had a great consultation and agreed on what I wanted. Took the afternoon off work to fit in with the salon's busy schedule. When I arrived they said they didn't have time to do what was agreed upon. To top it all off the manager was incredibly rude to me. It's a hard NEVER AGAIN from me. Worst customer experience of my life.

I love Hoopla. To begin with their hair wash basins are the most comfortable I have ever had my hair washed in (and I have tried out a lot of hairdressers across the globe). The service is impeccable, they offer your free coffee in a cup (and it's great, too) and I am always satisfied with my cut (thanks Angela!). Highly recommended!

Hadn't been to a hairdresser in over a year due to bad experiences in the past and lack of cruelty free/sustainable hairdressers in my area. I'm so happy I found Hoopla as I got the best (long overdue) haircut I have ever had from Jessie! The staff were also super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend :)

I really enjoyed my first visit to Hoopla Salon. The staff were very friendly and I love that its vegan and environmentally friendly. Minka cut and coloured my hair. She really took the time to find out what I was after and made good suggestions for easy daily styling. They even let my dog come into the salon for a visit 🐶 If your looking for a new hair salon this is definitely the place. Make sure you book early as hard to get an appointment.

Some days dealing with a hair stylist can feel like you're jumping backwards through a million hoops. Only to have them ignore what you've said and make you look like a 1989 drunk clown. Thankfully Hoopla take client relations to whole new level!
My appointment started out with Brianna discussing what I did and didn't like about my hair and issues I'd previously had with my hair. We flicked through Pinterest to confirm that why I wanted was what I was actually describing. Always an added bonus!
