Movement is Freedom is an Exercise Physiology and Clinical Pilates practice located in Templestowe, established by Lindsey Moxon BExSc, Grad. Dip. App Ex Sci. We believe that being fit and maintaining mobility are key elements for a happy, enjoyable life. Living life as pain free as possible and feeling the freedom that movement can give is what we are about.
An Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) is a 4-year university trained health professional who specialises in prescribing exercise, lifestyle and behavioural modification programs. They prevent and manage chronic injuries and disease such as musculoskeletal injuries, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, depression, cancer, arthritis, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD) and many more.

Exercise Physiology involves rehabilitation for chronic disease and injuries through exercise management. Be guided through an exercise program with a university trained health professional, who is accredited with ESSA (Exercise and Sports Science Australia). A full initial assessment is required to begin with to determine needs and goals, gain relevant medical background and assess functionality.
Pilates is a body conditioning exercise program designed to improve core stability and posture. The Pilates method of exercise was developed by Joseph Pilates in Germany in the early 20th century and has become very popular over the last decade. It helps to build longer, leaner muscles allowing more freedom of movement, and can enhance functional fitness and ease of movement, with heightened body awareness.

8 months ago I was fortunate to meet Lindsay. With a lot of back/neck complaints, I didn't realise how bad my flexibility was. Since seeing Lesley, my flexibility has noticeably improved. I'm stronger - but the flexibility has made it easier on my life. 4.5 stars. I look forward to going to Movement is Freedom every day; something I never dreamt would be the case with exercise.
