Designer Decks started in 2003 as a humble deck building company, situated at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast. Being deck builders, we initially thought that most of our clients simply wanted us to build a deck.

In fact, before we came along in the industry, everyone was simply focused on how to build a deck.
Timber decking maximises the outdoor living space of your home and provides a seamless flow into the great outdoors. At Designer Decks, we design and build your timber deck in a cost effective and functional way. Timber decking can be used in a variety of applications. Traditionally, outdoor decking was used on sloping blocks and verandahs, to create usable, outdoor living space.
For decks Gold Coast and decks Brisbane, the most commonly used decking material is hardwood decking. Popular species of hardwood decking include merbau decking (also known as kwila decking), spotted gum decking and blackbutt decking.
Suggestion - When choosing a hardwood decking material, remember to see whether your proposed hardwood decking species can also be used for your balustrade or handrail, timber stairs, privacy screens, planter boxes and decking oil.Since not all hardwood decking species are readily available for all applications, all year round.

In fact a pool deck allows you to fully enjoy and utilise your pool area. The timber pool decking or composite decking also creates warmth and a timeless appeal to your pool surrounds. For low lying (ie close to the ground) pool decks, we strongly recommend using weed mat. Weedmat minimises the risks of weeds growing underneath your deck and still allows for any water to penetrate into the ground.

Designer Decks are reliable, responsible and they do a great job. They come when they say they will, they stay in contact with you and are easy to contact, they keep you informed every step of the way...plus they are polite, skilled and hardworking. I believe that they "go the extra mile" and I would thoroughly recommend them.
