Peake Plumbing specialises in blocked sewer drains, toilet drains, shower drains, basin drains and sink drains. A blocked sewer drain can be a major problem as it is commonly the cause of some or all of the fixtures in the house being obstructed. It can also be unhygienic as it may flow out from the overflow gully above ground causing an unpleasant odour.
A basin blockage is commonly caused by either human hair, solids that have been washed down the drain, or tree roots. Normally, a plunge will clear a blockage inside a basin drain and it is the most cost effective method, but may not be a permanent solution. You will find that the basin waste will run into either your floor waste drain or even the gully outside the bathroom which is a concrete mound and grate.
If your main sewer line blocks up, this can cause some or all of the other fixtures being blocked as well. It may be blocked in the inspection shaft (which is the point to which the drain runs, normally located out the very front or back of the property). The inspection shaft should be visible some are buried and difficult to locate.
Sink drains are often blocked by food and fat being washed down the sink and building up over the years inside the pipe. Another cause may be roots growing inside a gully which is the concrete mound and grate you might see somewhere in your backyard. This gully may also be overflowing which is a sure sign the drain is blocked.

My toilet flushes didn't work and neither the shower tab, I got a quote from one other plumbing service with a shocking cost and solution (change the entire toilet!!!). Luckily I finally found Peak Plumbing, Pete easily and efficiently fixed these problems with very reasonable and acceptable price. Pete is going above and beyond to achieve customer satisfaction. His critical problem-solving skills and swiftness in getting issues resolved is exemplary. Strongerly recommend!!!
