Interact Psychology provides caring and individualised psychological services to children, adolescents and families across the Gold Coast community. Our psychologists have extensive experience with children and adolescents and specialise in providing evidence-based treatment approaches. Interact Psychology values understanding individuals in the context of their significant relationships to enhance well-being.

We also work with couples and families to build individual and family resilience. Interact Psychology offers Resilience Building programs to primary and secondary schools. These programs aim to target several factors associated with resilience and well-being in children and adolescents. Interact Psychology provides cognitive and learning assessments.
Services
Steve is a nationally registered psychologist, Board approved psychology supervisor and mindfulness meditation teacher. Steve specializes in working with young people, adults and families and fostering resilience using mindfulness based strategies, neuroscience and systemic family therapy principles.
We use the very latest assessment tools and iPad technology to engage children and adults and obtain accurate information about their cognitive and academic strengths and challenges. Our reports are timely with meaningful individualized recommendations so you can spend less time wondering and more time planning for success.
Medicare can assist in the payment of your psychology sessions. You can receive up to 10 rebated sessions per year through the Medicare Better Access initiative. To receive your rebate, you must obtain a Mental Health Care Plan (available from your GP, paediatrician or psychiatrist). Individuals with a chronic illness or disease may also be eligible for additional rebates under an Enhanced Primary Care plan, which also requires a GP referral.
Lifeline (13 11 14) - Lifeline is a 24/7 confidential telephone counselling and online chat service providing support for Suicide Prevention, Crisis Support and Mental Health Support. Lifeline is also a general 24 hour telephone counselling service. Kids Helpline (1800 55 1800) - Kids Helpline is a free, private and confidential 24 hour counselling service for young people aged 5 - 25 years as well as their parents/carers.
