Geoff Barry BSc (Hons), Retreat's Director is a Registered Builder and Qualified Botanist with over 10 years design and construction experience. With his construction and botanical knowledge, Retreat's designs push the edge of current trends and site restraints.

Very nice atmosphere, pools are monitored the entire day by several lifeguards. Two pools are currently in use, one main pool for the professional & one smaller one for kids from I would say 1.2m & up the 3rd one which are meant for toddler & up to 8yr olds is totally out of order. Toilets & changing rooms are very tidy & neat. Few spectator seating available enough ground space to lay out your towel or beach blanket. Sufficient rubbish bins visible. Strict Covid protocol is adhered when using the facility. Opens strictly at 10am. Inspection of swimwear & searching of bags is done before entering

So many of us know the Cape Flats and always pass judgement on these areas, but let's be real...
This place speaks volumes about how powerful changes can make great impacts.
Took my kids there two weeks ago, and I was awestruck by the safety put in place, the cleanliness, the friendly staff and the lifeguards that are on point.
I'm super impressed
