Please phone ahead to order medications and food and pay over the phone. We will have the items ready to bring out to you when you arrive (again please call us so we may come out to see you).
Services
Vet HQ is non-corporate, family run vet practice that provides your pets with the highest quality medical, surgical and preventative health care. We understand that pets are family. We strive to be an integral link between you and your pet. We promise that no one will work harder than us to look after your fur babies.
Geoff and his team have an incredible practice - they are professional, kind and so very caring. They have looked after our dog Salty for many years now and we couldn't ask for better care and attention. Salty recently battled with a bout of pancreatitis, and the staff were exceptional. Their skill and dedication, and their open communication, sets the standard.
Vet HQ was a dream of mine for many years. On Boxing Day 2006 we opened our doors for the first time. This year we will be celebrating 12 years of Veterinary Service to the Eastern Suburbs, what a ride it has been. My wife and I still joke about the first staffing decision we made - 2 nurses not one.
We know that an animal ages between seven and 10 times faster than us. That means that at every annual consultation check up we are assessing up to 10 years of health of your pet. We feel at Vet HQ that it is imperative to have at least an annual Consultation. We can perform the equivalent of a hygienist clean by one of our qualified Veterinary Nurse/dental hygienist.
Vet HQ were proud to support the recent Double Bay Street Festival. Thank you to everyone that came down to visit us as Vet HQ Dog Lane - it was a pleasure to be involved in such a wonderful community event, and raise awareness for Pound Paws and the great work they do in the community helping raise awareness about dog adoption in the Eastern Suburbs.

The team at Vet HQ Double Bay are nothing but exceptional, each and every visit is handled just as thorough, friendly and professional as the last.
Having had appointments for multiple minor and major reasons over the past year or more I just wouldn't want to take my boy anywhere else except to the team here.
Also, to handle staff shortages in the current pandemic the way they do is beyond impressive, you would never know by anybody's demeanor that there was any additional pressure on the team - credit to you all, exceeding expectations as always.

Our old cat (19 and very dear to the family) received very kind and diligent care from Dr Suead today. Excellent communication too. Thank you for looking after her.
Also, the entire VetHQ team is doing an excellent job in managing logistics under difficult COVID-era conditions. Our visits went without any hiccups - thanks.

I was so impressed with the level of service the staff offered. I spoke with Brie several times when wondering whether or not to bring in our puppy for a check up for something which may or may not have been serious. Brie was so friendly and offered excellent, sage advice. There was never any pressure to make an appointment and, amazingly, I was told if I made an appointment but then decided it wasn't needed, I could call and cancel with no fee to pay. The best comment Brie made was that it would always be their preference that a pet is well enough NOT to have to come into the vet. I highly recommend

The veterinarian I saw was quite useless and only after money.
I came in with my cavoodle who at 5 years old had started experiencing allergies (never had them before). The veterinarian was quick to prescribe tablets for the itching, and an injection for the allergy for $200+ a pop, every 6 weeks for the rest of his life. I asked what the allergy was from, and she replied with "I don't know". I told her that maybe if they tested and found out we could just eliminate the irritant, to treat the problem and not just bandage the symptoms every 6 weeks with chemicals. She agreed that seeing a dog dermatologist

I would not take my two dogs anywhere else. Every staff member at Vet HQ - from the front desk, groomers, daycare and through to the vets - are caring, empathetic, warm and professional. They treat my two like they were their own. And they go above and beyond every single time. Thanks to Vet HQ going to the vet is a pleasant experience.

To my dear Vet HQ family, Words cannot express how grateful we are to all of you. You have been a part of our beautiful dog’s lives since the day you opened and have always been there for us. Our beautiful boy… Thumper recently passed and the love and compassion you all gave us goes above and beyond. Your concern for us and Thumper’s sister fluffy is so comforting. We love you all and think the world of you.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Vet HQ. This practice is truly a cut above the rest. All veterinarians, nurses and staff are so wonderful and caring. My Bull Terrier has a somewhat rare condition and thanks to the proactive nature of the team, specifically Dr Liz Rowland, we were able to have her diagnosed and on medication within 24hrs of her first visit. I cannot thank them enough for helping my girl get back to normal in lightning fast speed and before her condition worsened. These guys know their stuff!!! Thank you Vet HQ

VetHQ is an excellent veterinary, where we can trust our Birmans are always in such good hands. When one of them went through a rough patch due to a urinary stone at the start of COVID-19, it was so comforting knowing he was receiving the highest quality care from the team. I've now encountered many of the vets and nurses across both Double Bay and Darlinghurst locations, and everyone is so considerate, thorough and friendly. Well done and highly recommend VetHQ!

If you’re looking for an amazing Vet, Vet HQ Double Bay genuinely treat us all like family. Our 5 year old kitten had a rough medical episode last week and Geoff and his team held our hand through every step. We received regular detailed updates and it felt like the whole clinic was worrying with us when it was bad and celebrating with us when she pulled through. We live a fair distance away and have happily been making regular trips to VetHQ for over 5 years. We would never consider taking our furry family members anywhere else.

From the first hello to actual consult with Geoff, exemplary service is the only exposure we have received at Vet HQ. Every single person that we have encountered there is friendly and helpful.
Vet HQ is no… ordinary facility but rather an extraordinarily humane and empathetic practice that treats your pets with some of the best diagnostic knowledge around and most importantly like your beloved animal is another member of your family.
We have gone through the golden years of our beautiful dog Amber’s life with Vet HQ and in particular had the pleasure of our hero Geoff, as her vet

Love Vet HQ - after a not so nice experience at another day care Vet HQ have done everything possible to fit my puppy back into to daycare with them. Teddy loves going there and they treat him like a king - cannot thank them enough for their dedication, care and understanding. Looking forward to many more happy days with him at Vet HQ.

Need a human vet? Go to Vet HQ.
I don’t pop in to VET HQ as much as I used to because my remaining cat of two is, thankfully, a well one. I was a regular visitor when Ouzo, my other cat, had a long term heart disease. When I was there today, a vet nurse came and kissed me on the cheek, human vet nurse. Human vet found in the foyer asked after my sister’s dog, Jemma.
