Jim Filmer is an award winning photographer with offices and studio in the beautiful Brisbane Valley and the majestic Victorian High Country, whilst also traveling across Australia and internationally on assignments. More recently, Jim was selected as a finalist in the prestigious Moran Contemporary Photography Awards.
Jim has been involved in photography for over 35 years. He learnt his trade utilising medium format and 35mm film stock, along with many hours in dark rooms with the lingering smells of chemical solutions. While digital imaging is common place now, Jim combines the romance and nostalgia of film with practicalities and flexibility of digital cameras in a range of shoots.

Services
A selection of portrait photography undertaken for clients, special occaissions and events. A selection of wedding photography, in locations ranging field of barley through to the romance capital of the world, Paris. These images are shot on a fully mechanical panoramic medium format film camera, where the lens rotates through 130 degrees.
Bespoke School Photos & Portraits has come about after schools had approached us to provide a service, images and most importantly, memories that families would want to display on their walls and share with family and friends.
Hence we present an "old fashion" approach to working with staff and students to create wonderful images that everyone looks forward to, rather than implementing a "churn them through" task making the annual school photos purely a "documentation" process.
