Solar Bay is a Renewable Energy Fund with a focus on contracted Distributed Energy Resources. Technologies we fund include Solar PV, Battery Storage, waste to energy, Private Networks and Hybrid Power Plants. Typical investment size range between $500,000 - $30 million, with smaller per site capital deployment possible for multi-site rollouts.
Solar Bay was founded in 2016 with the goal of providing renewable energy solutions to commercial and industrial users. Solar Bay now owns and operates a diverse portfolio of Solar PV, Battery Storage and Off Grid Renewable IPP. Luke Murnane manages the asset management division of Solar Bay. This includes the installation, operations, and upgrading of micro-grids, battery storage and demand management.

Services
A contract to purchase electricity generated from an onsite energy system, typically Solar PV, but may also include Battery storage, Combined Heat and Power or Power Factor Correction (PFC). The system is designed, installed, funded, operated, and maintained by Solar Bay, providing renewable power and energy savings to the site.
McCain Foods Ballarat is a Potato Processing facility with a large 24 Hour electrical and thermal load. This Solar PV installation is the first stage of a plan to supply 39% of the site load and supply with Cogeneration CHP Plant, supplied with Biogas from an onsite anaerobic digester.
Globally, McCain Foods is committed to reducing our CO2 emissions by 50 per cent by 2030, ceasing any reliance on coal by 2025, and having 100 per cent of our plants powered by renewable electricity by 2030.

Originally contacted these guys to find out a bit of info about how the whole solar process worked as I'd not looked into it previously. Frustrating part of the process was that every company I asked, said I needed a different powered system. Some said 5kW and others said i'd need 10kW. What made the difference with these guys was that they spent the time time send me a spreadsheet showing me exactly the size of system I needed and why. Whilst there were cheaper options around, not by a lot, it was their knowledge of the space and professionalism that won me over in the end. Would highly recommend
