At St George Family Medical Centre - Wagga Wagga GP, we encourage all patients, young & old to have their annual Flu Vaccination carried out. Even healthy people can catch & spread the flu bug. Influenza is a viral infection caused by influenza types A, B or C. The virus is transmitted by virus' containing aerosols produced by coughing, sneezing or be direct contact with respiratory secretions.
While many infectious diseases have been controlled in Australia due to widespread vaccination and other public health measures, this is not the case in many overseas countries. Travelling can expose us to these diseases and other diseases that do not occur in Australia. Travel vaccination is a way of protecting ourselves against certain infections by exposing ourselves to small, safe, inactive doses of microbes causing disease.
At St George Family Medical Centre our Doctors (Wagga GP) can provide information, education and treatment for patients who suffer from asthma to help increase the patient's quality of life. Asthma is caused by the narrowing of the airways in the lungs, and symptoms can include wheezing, coughing (particularly at night), chest tightness, difficulty in breathing and shortness of breath.
Our practice use Bulk billing system (No money out of patient's pocket) for this services, and all preventive health, such as Pap test, health assessment, weight management program.
Patients who have a chronic medical condition and complex care needs and are being managed by GP under a GP Management Plan (item 721) and Team Care Arrangements (item 723) are eligible for Medicare rebates for certain allied health services on referral from their GP (Wagga).

After my appointment today I said bye to the receptionist who picked up the phone and started doing something else/ignoring me. I thought that was my cue to leave but she calls me a few minutes later accusing me of running away without paying. I had clearly waited because I wasn’t sure, as sometimes I’ve had to pay $50 for an appointment, other times not. Apparently I was supposed to read Lisa’s mind.
Luckily I wasn’t too far away and I returned and paid, but if you know a client is leaving and needs to pay, don’t ignore them when they’re trying to confirm whether they need to pay

Not a good medical center. Always cancel patients booked appointment as their wish, though patients are sick. They don't care seck patients. I did book one week before, one day before they call me and cancel myappointment. Their receiption staff doesn't know doctor availability specially Lisa. Please be smart. Thank you.

I have had multiple times now where I call and couldn't get in to see the doc for my son, was told each time to call at 8.30 the next day and we will have an appointment for you. Every time I do this, I call 30secs before and phones are switched off. I call on the dot and get rudely told no booked out. I said you just opened and was rudely told yeah well they're gone. If you don't have appointments do tell your patients to wait until the next day every time and call at 8.30. You clearly don't. I understand not having appointments but don't give false hope for each day and don't be so rude on the
