We have experienced some pub stays in our time, but this one rates very poorly.
The room was stuffy, dirty and I'm sure the sheets weren't clean.
We had already paid, but wished we had checked the room first.
There was a run down feel about the whole place. An odour of stale beer, urine and vomit. Windows were dirty.
At least with a bad stay, you get to appreciate the better places.

I've wanted to go to the Oceanview Hotel for years and never have. It's a neat old 1920s pub in the small coastal town of Urunga NSW.
I had the grass fed Scotch fillet with chips and salad. Mine was topped with prawns and calamari in a garlic cream sauce.
All absolutely gorgeous. I like my steak medium well and it was good albeit a little firm.
The pub is neat and clean and the outdoor area is pleasant.
Great beers and compliant friendly staff.
Normally I don't care about price but I felt $40.00 for steak and chips was enough for a pub.
My lunch partner Anna had the seared salmon which was

Went to the hotel a few months ago, ordered meal then ordered desserts. Waited 40 minutes, checked and was told "sorry mate, forgot the order" another 10 minute wait for desserts, not happy.Still, went to the pub today, again ordered desserts, waited 35 minutes this time, checked with the kitchen, was told we are busy, the girl will get them now. While waiting a further 10 minutes, two other customers who had ordered at least 20 minutes after us collected their full meals. Told kitchen staff not happy and got "yeah, but we are busy" said i don't mind waiting my turn but how can it take twice as
