Turning Point Training & Counselling
Counselling is provided in a safe, respectful and empathetic way. From the moment you engage in the counselling process, there is no facade, just genuine concern, care and support. Safety is paramount and clients state feeling comfortable within minutes. Your welfare is at the heart of each and every session and you will feel the support and trust that your counsellor has in your own abilities to heal.

If you are willing to take the chance and talk about what's happening for you, we will show you what it is like to be respected, heard and validated. It does take courage and determination on your part, however, your efforts will be rewarded with a truly enriching, potentially life-changing professional relationship.

Training people in how to recognise and respond to someone with thoughts of suicide is a passion for me, learning how to ask about suicide, literally saves lives. It does not have to be perfect, the essence of a great intervention is care, respect and the ability to listen.

Some of the organisations I have presented training for are Lifeline, Uniting Care Mental Health, Settlement Services International, Veterans, 180TC, Catholic Care, Redkite Australia, Neami, RUPA, Wellways, Parramatta Mission, Sydney City, and open workshops for the community.Counselling experience in the past has included working with Lifeline, The National Centre For Suicide Prevention Training and Anglicare-Wollongong.
Turning Point Training & Counselling provides a safe place to talk with a professional counsellor who is impartial and can help you to work through many of the difficulties that life may throw your way. The initial consultation provides an opportunity for you to become acquainted with me as your counsellor and get used to expressing your thoughts, feelings, concerns and goals.

I have had the privilege to work alongside Sally Roberts from TurningPoint since 2012. We have co-facilitated innumerable LivingWorks ASIST’s and Lifeline DV-alert Workshops. Sally has always operated with respect, integrity and fairness with myself and with the participants of the training. She is a highly skilled, dedicated and well regarded training facilitator. We have also done a great deal of peer supervision over the years and I have always found Sally, in this situation, to be insightful and respectful. I greatly value and respect her as a peer in the Training and Counselling arena. Liz

I have been a participant in Sally's training's, I remember specifically the DV Alert Multi Cultural 2 day workshop. Sally brought a professional and calming presence to the training, connecting and engaging all of us with her knowledge and experience.

Honestly from the bottom of my heart I wouldn't be where I am today without Sally's guidance through a traumatic separation two years ago. Our weekly sessions were one of the few things during that period that I looked forward to and I always felt that I could honestly tell Sally anything and trust her 100%. She helped me through a very dark time in my life where I felt I lost and completely out of control. She helped me regain clarity and focus when I needed it the most. To anyone who is considering seeing a Counsellor I could not recommend Sally highly enough - you will not be disappointed.
