Reaston Drummond Law (Cairns Family & Commercial Lawyers) was established in 2016 by the merger of two leading law firms, Reaston Law and NQ Family Law Centre. Directors, Deanne Drummond, Bevlee & Jim Reaston are experienced lawyers with proven results. As long term residents of Cairns, they are passionate about representing Cairns' families.

Cairns family lawyers - Bev Reaston and Deanne Drummond, have over 55 years combined experience specialising in family and de facto law in Cairns. Jim Reaston is an expert in commercial law, conveyancing, wills and estates, having practised in these areas for over 38 years. Jim is a Queensland Law Society senior counsellor and recognised as one of Far North Queensland's most respected and experienced lawyers.

Bev is the mother of three adult children and a grandmother and has been a long term Cairns resident. Her three children attended Cairns schools, played sport including representing Cairns, had leadership roles at school and coached young sporting teams. From the outset, Bev is committed to getting the best results for her clients.
Initially employed by Farrellys Lawyers, in 1980 Jim commenced employment with Cairns firm JF Pescott and Associates. In 1981, Jim became a partner in that firm and practised under the name of Pescott Reaston Lawyers until 2001 when the partnership was dissolved. From 2001 until 2011, Jim practised as a sole practitioner under the name Reaston Lawyers which amalgamated with O'Reilly Stevens Lawyers in 2012.

Leasing involves drafting lease documentation, negotiating lease terms, enforcing obligations of a lease and negotiating disputes between landlord and tenant.
