Alex Driving School specialises in preparing learner drivers to pass a Vicroads drive test first time. Our services include teaching new and nervous learner drivers with minimal or no experience. We conduct driving lessons in Melbourne with patient driving instructors who base lessons on communication, achievement and enjoyment.
Overseas drivers who are experienced in their country but not in Melbourne do a minimum of 5 hours of training. Overseas drivers who are experienced in their country and have experience in Melbourne do a minimum of 3 hours of training. If this is outside your budget or you do not require these lessons we have cheaper packages to choose from.
Payment details will be emailed to you (Including booking confirmation details and driving instructor details). Alex Driving School testing fees are separate to Vicroads fees. Our testing fees include the use of our car and the presence and support of our instructor on test day. The client (learner driver, overseas driver) is required to contact Vicroads, book the drive test and make payment to Vicroads for the test booking.

Passed my driving test yesterday in the first attempt. Michael was my driving instructor. He patiently helped my master my driving skills in the past few months. Even with Covid and multiple rescheduling of the driving lessons, we finally managed to cover all the important lessons. Thank you Michael and thank you Alex Driving School for the professional experience.

I would highly recommend ALex Driving School for lessons. I did my lessons with Michael and he was absolutely amazing. I hadn't drove in Victoria so he explained me rules and made me practice for the test which made the test go really well for me. I was able to get through my test in the very first attempt. Big thanks to Michael and Alex driving school.

Passed my driving test yesterday after 3 lessons. Anita was my driving instructor and I could not be happier about her and the outcome. She has a natural gift for teaching, has the most flexible times for lessons, is kind and patient and could easily recognize my weak points. My Instructor was Dennis Tan - his knowledge of the road is excellent and ensures you have the same understanding, he is a patient teacher and always makes sure that you are comfortable first. I don't think I would have passed my driving test without such a great teacher, and I recommend him to anyone looking for a driving instructor!

As an overseas license holder who has very minimal driving experience in Victoria, I passed my drive test after having 5 practice sessions with Ravi. Ravi was a great instructor, he was always on time and giving me clear instructions that helped me to be a qualified driver. He is also very familiar with the roads near a test venue. Highly recommend!
