I know how quickly my little one is growing and I want to remember and adore every little part of my baby forever. That's why when it comes to newborn and baby photography I spend just as much time capturing all the little details, from toenails to quirky little cheek or shoulder fuz. Not to mention the connections between family members and the sweet little facial expressions you have come to know and love of your baby or newborn.

Join me in my Perth studio to learn a full day of newborn photography. Work with a newborn model as we cover everything you need to know about setting up your own studio and running an efficient newborn photo session. Once our model leaves, it is time to look into post processing and some marketing strategies to find clients, and keep them.
My wife & I took our first born child to Mel for his new born photos and she didn't disappoint. From the moment we arrived, Mel was very welcoming and her experience shone through settling Hudson quickly when he was a little restless. We managed to get through a number of outfit changes with Hudson during the 3hr time slot and the end results were stunning.
When your precious new baby enters the world they are very sleepy and still quite malleable. That is why I recommend scheduling your newborn portrait session while you are pregnant and for the first week of your babies life. Usually between 6-12 days. After this age, babies tend to become more alert and aware of the world around them and not too amused when someone keeps moving them.

Mel is a fantastic photographer.
I have used Mel multiple times now for Maternity and also Newborn Photoshoots.
Upon walking into her studio she makes you feel extremely comfortable and Mel is super easy to get along with, making the shoot enjoyable. At a recent shoot I was worried my toddler wouldn't co-operate, however Mel engaged with him and got amazing images with our newborn.
The images she captures are just beautiful, and I will always recommend her to any of my friends.

I came across Mel's website and social media and was instantly drawn in! Her photography gallery conveyed warmth, professionalism and attention to detail and that's exactly what she delivered during our newborn photography session. We felt at ease as soon as we arrived at her studio and she was so delicate in her handling of our baby girl. Mel was responsive with correspondence and took the stress out of reorganizing our session when our little one arrived 5 weeks early. We had a shoot with our son in January and we could not have been happier! My partner is usually quite wooden in photos and she was able to make us feel so comfortable and capture lots of lovely relaxed moments with our son. She took the time to get the perfect shot and we had so many photos that we loved. We will definitely be going back to Mel!

Mel was just fabulous. She encourage my three year old to participate in the shoot and managed to capture the style of photos I was hoping for. Once again we received the most beautiful photos from Mel Cieslik Photography. Mel is wonderful, she is so patient with newborns and toddlers. We have had a few sittings with Mel and each time it is an amazing experience. The prints we received are very good quality and look wonderful.
