Our goal is to educate our patients as to the importance of maintaining proper musculoskeletal health to empower them to help themselves and prevent injuries. Our everyday actions such as sitting for prolonged periods, exercise and repetitive motions tend to take their toll on our bodies. These everyday activities often lead to tightened muscles and poor joint movement as well as poor motor patterns.
The aim of chiropractic care is to restore the movement in the different joints in the body to normal movement where possible. The way we do this is through spinal manipulation and soft tissue work such as massage. In addition to this sometimes rehabilitation exercises are given to aid in a person's recovery to help restore abnormal movement patterns.

Our goal is to educate our patients as to the importance of maintaining proper musculoskeletal health. Paul graduated from Murdoch University at the end of 2013 where he completed a Bachelor of Science (Chiropractic) and a Bachelor of Chiropractic. While at university Paul participated in the outreach program which treated indigenous patients in the rural town of Meekatharra.
Conditions can be attributed to a range of different factors, which is why we thoroughly examine each patient before treatment. There are many different causes of a persons symptoms and because of this it requires a thorough examination of a person and their presenting symptoms. Which is why at Bicton Sports and Spinal we spend the time looking and talking to our patients in our initial consult to evaluate their symptoms.
If you've been suffering for years with limited mobility and restless sleep due to back pain, we can help. Experiencing some form of back pain throughout your life is quite common. What's even more common, and quite alarming, is how many people choose to live with their pain. Back pain can be something that develops over a long period of time or it can be an instantaneous thing, like the result of a sports injury.
I guess we can say it's just one of the side effects of technology, but it's quite a serious one. As with most body pains, neck pain can occur when the neck muscles are tightened, overused or under strain. You may also experience a sore neck first thing in the morning, usually the result of sleeping in an awkward position.
Suffering pain in the hand, wrist or forearm can be quite debilitating. Often there is a loss of strength associated with the pain which makes performing everyday tasks quite difficult. There are three common causes of hand, wrist and forearm pain that can be treated by your chiropractor. People who perform repetitive work using their hands are more prone to De Quervain's disease.

Fantastic chiropractor. Can’t recommend highly enough. Paul was thorough and explained everything I could expect in a clear and concise way. He was positive about what he do for me but wasn’t pushy and didn’t oversell his services. I felt instant relief after one visit but I know if I continue with the recommended 4 to 6 visits for my condition I will feel even better. With a regular reset after this I think I’ll be good for the long term. Thanks again Paul.

I went to Dr Paul on a recommendation, after being told by other health professionals there was nothing they could do to treat me and help me back to full fitness. After 4 visits I'm completely pain free and back to normal. I can't recommend this man highly enough.
He is an absolute life saver and a champion bloke.

As a distance runner, I have experienced constant muscle tenderness in lower back area. After seeing Dr Paul Douglass once, I no longer experience the muscle tension that running could exacerbate. Now I continue to run more than 30km a week with no pain whatsoever. I urge people not to believe the myths regarding chiropractic therapy. It could benefit people in many ways, including having a spinal manipulation. In my case, I get chiropractic care to save significant pain down the road and to improve sport performance. Overall, I am definitely a happy customer & I commend Dr Douglass for the success

I can't recommend Paul highly enough - definitely not your normal chiro (& I've been to a few) - he takes the time to identify your problem, and uses a wide variety of soft and hard tissue techniques to treat. He has even converted my highly sceptical Mum with numerous chronic back issues so that she can walk again.
You will not be disappointed.

My first ever visit to a chiropractor was Dr. Paul about 4years ago and then I couldn't find him so had to go different chiro places and to be honest it wasn't good experience. I found Dr. Paul again and I must say I'm so thankful for that! His knowledge and care for the patient is undeniably praiseworthy! I would highly suggest this chiropractor than any other ones.

I asked for a recommendation on Freo Massive for a chiro who didn't treat you like a number or try to over service and Dr Paul Douglas name came up as to what I was wanting. I had my first appointment on Tuesday and within a few minutes knew i had found exactly the chiro I need. Paul took time to leant about my medical history and where I was experiencing paim and discomfort and commenced treating me. I left his practice feeling considerably better than when I walked in. due to some past spinal history I was sent off for an xray and just had me second appointment. The xray was well worth getting
