At a basic level an Orthotic reduces the load on soft tissue and controls foot function. This enables healing of injured tissue, allows more efficient functioning and most importantly lets you get back to be able to do what you want to do. Orthotics can be used to treat a range of foot and ankle conditions.
Lakeside Podiatry is the only clinic in the Goulburn Valey to offer laser therapy for fungal nails. Fungal nail disease (onychomycosis) is a common condition (affects up to 14% of the population), which causes the nails to look thick/crumbly and discoloured/yellowy brown or white. Fungi feed on keratin, a structural protein within your nails.

We use slow motion video analysis to assists us in diagnosing complex motion related pathology of the foot, ankle, knee hip and lower back. With video gait analysis, we are able to break each second of the gait cycle into tiny segments (frames), allowing detailed assessment of the patient's foot position and overall posture.
