Our dentist needs to be aware of your general state of health as this can often impact upon the condition of your teeth and gums and may effect medication such as anaesthetics and antibiotics we may use for you. At your consultation you will have the opportunity to discuss any dental concerns you may have or how you would like your teeth improved.
The best way to maintain good oral hygiene is to brush and floss your teeth and to visit your dentist for regularly. Your dentist not only examines your teeth for signs of decay or damage, he also looks for early signs of gum disease and oral cancer. It is normally recommended that you visit your dentist twice a year, although people who have severe gum disease or a weakened immune system may need to visit the dentist more often.
Brushing your teeth twice a day, for two minutes each time. Ask your dentist which type of tooth brush is best for you, as many of us use brushes that are too hard or too large. Floss your teeth, as a toothbrush doesn't always reach into the gaps in between the teeth or below the gum line. Do not brush your teeth too hard as this can damage your gums, ask your dentist to show you the correct technique.
Fissure sealant is a tooth coloured liquid which is applied on the chewing surface of adult molar teeth to prevent cavities from forming in early years. Once applied the coating is permanent, and will stay on your teeth for a number of years. Your back teeth are known as premolars and molars and have pits and grooves on the biting surface, some of which can be deep and difficult to keep clean with brushing.

I put off having a crown done - again and again. Finally Bella explained to me that it was our best chance of saving my tooth, that it would be remiss of her not to encourage it. The appointment went swimmingly, I don’t know what I was carrying on about! The lovely banter between Georgia and Bella was genuine, they clearly enjoy what they do and it rubbed off on me. I was especially impressed with the care and double checking Bella did to ensure the permanent crown would fit exactly. I am now planning when to have my next tooth done- would’ve thought?

Such a great family practice, very friendly staff. The receptionist was fantastic and was able to get me in an emergency and were able to book in to get my fillings done.
Dr Bella was fantastic and made me feel very comfortable. She was able to explain what was needing to be done and cost.

Dr. Gikas and indeed his staff are absolutely brilliant. I recently had a few teeth extracted and a partial denture put in. Dr. Gikas thoroughly explained the whole process beforehand and on the day, which settled my fear/anxiety considerably, which made the overall experience less confronting for me. Thank you Dr. Gikas & staff, you've won a customer for life and I'll certainly be singing your praises!

I absolutely loved the honest and friendly nature of the dentist. It is a very homely environment and the staff makes you feel at ease. I am a very anxious patient in the chair but I felt comfortable and confident in the care provided by Dr Bella and her lovely nurse! Thank you guys! Will definitely be back!

Friendly and accommodating. Dr.Jason is wonderful and has such a positive bedside manner. His assistant, Brittany was so cool, calming, professional and very kind. Having had an extraction there only yesterday, I felt as though I was in very good hands and I couldn't have asked for better treatment. I would highly recommend this clinic, especially to those like me who are terrified of having oral procedures done.

I went there to fix a filling that came off. I went there to make an appointment and found a free slot for 12:30pm next day which was great because it was during my lunch break.
I went there 12:30pm sharp. I had my teeth well brushed before going there to avoid any embarrassments.
I had to wait about 15 minutes before I was attended to. Since this was the my first time here, I was asked to fill a form to get all my details.
