Apecs Investment Castings is a family owned and run business now approaching its 50th year of operation based in Melbourne, Australia. Founded in 1963 by Anthony (Tony) and Ann Eccles to provide a quality, precious metal castings service to the jewellery industry.
The present CEO is Tony's daughter, Christine, a qualified jeweller, who with her husband Gary Lunt, for many years Chief Technical Manager, control the everyday management of the business.Annie and Genevieve are the two principal casting operatives, with Genevieve also a CAD designer and operator.

Apecs has a wide range of alloys available for casting: Platinum, Fine Gold and Silver, 22ct Yellow, 18ct Yellow, Pink and White, 14ct Yellow, Pink and White, 10ct Yellow, 9ct Yellow, Pink and White, Bright Silver 925, Standard Sterling Silver, Brass and Bronze. We can cast your own Waxes supplied by you, either hand carved, or injected, or we can Mould your Master Pattern and reproduce that piece for you many times and in any of the metals.
Ltd offers a full range of CAD Services. Our team of expert CAD Technicians, are able create a file of the design of your choice, or we can create a model from your own file. We have both Growing and Milling facilities using the latest technology, with both of these methods producing the finest of resolutions available.
Apecs offers both a Vulcanised and Cold Pour Moulding Service. We have a variety of sizes moulds available. For Vulcanising we require a Solid Metal Master Pattern. This type of Mould is the most used and provides strong long lasting moulds. These moulds may have shrinkage of approximately 2 - 3% so an allowance needs to be made when making your original Master Pattern.
Apecs offers a finishing service for your castings. We are happy to finish either your own designs which you have cast with us, or designs you choose from our Catalogue Range. Fully Finished - Sprue Removed, Emeried, Hallmarked (where possible), Polished ready to set or sell. Enhanced Plus - Sprue Removed, Emeried, Tumbled.
