Our collection of diamonds has developed into an abundant array of world-class designs, defined by their expert craftsmanship and exquisite detail, skillfully curated by our team of diamond specialists.
Diamonds come in an array of colours, depending on the trace elements found within the stone. Coloured diamonds, classified as fancy diamonds, come in a range of colours, including yellow, pink, blue and even black. When looking at white diamonds, however, the higher quality stones have the least amount of colour.
A diamond composed of 100% pure carbon without any impurities is incredibly rare. Almost all diamonds contain some degree of colour impurity, known as inclusions, typically caused by long-drawn-out traces of nitrogen, boron or hydrogen which are present while the gems are forming deep within the earth.
Carat is the unit of measurement used to weigh precious stones. 1 carat is the equivalent of 0.2 grams, or 0.0007 ounces. Diamonds come in different shapes, sizes, colours and purities. The larger the diamond, the rarer it is, so the cost per carat will be higher than that of a smaller diamond of the same colour, clarity and cut.

This company sacked their sales manager Liz Tapping for having breast cancer and needing to take leave for treatment. they also refused to pay her holiday pay. This is repulsive and no one should patronize them! Talk about real blood diamonds! There are many other diamond sellers out there. Not good enough.

I wish I could post before and after photos of my ring showing what Empress gave us vs what I have just received after spending $1700 to have it fixed by another jeweller. I do not understand how they are still in business. They do not want to know about you once they have your money, are extremely rude if you question anything and produce absolute garbage. Even if your ring looks ok in the beginning, of the four people I know who have used them for their engagement rings, 3 have now had significant issues and thousands of dollars have been spent to fix their poor quality and shady work. The Team and Family at Empress Diamonds are wonderful to deal with. We bought my custom made engagement ring there and now buying my wedding and eternity ring from there. They do not do the hard sell which I appreciate, they just put the best quality diamonds in front of you for you to make your choice. They can custom design anything with a really quick turn around.

Empress diamonds helped me understand exactly what I was buying, I was a bit lost as most younger blokes are when buying engagement rings and they we’re nothing but helpful trying to suit my budget. They do not set unrealistic prices like most places do and try get you to haggle they just give you a great deal from the start very upfront and honest. Definitely a happy customer and will be returning for the wedding bands later this year. They also repaired and cleaned my gold chain for about half the cost anyone else quoted me which I’m very happy with. Keep up the good work

This is a long overdue review for Empress Diamond. A couple of months ago, I was blown away with their down to earth and friendly approach, especially Liz, after visiting so many retail stores and some jewelers in the city. I knew nothing about diamonds and I even told her that (I thought she would know anyhow just by looking at my face) but instead of taking advantage of that, Liz gently explained about diamonds and showed me their beautiful designs then asked me about my budget and passed to her boss (who was also a straightforward and down to earth jeweler). They gave me the most beautiful diamond

Have had several pieces made here, including wedding bands and earrings. Always the most outstanding, professional and friendly service and at affordable prices. I had my engagement ring made elsewhere, but even take it to Empress now for repairs and cleaning as they are the best I have experience by far. I wouldn't recommend going anywhere other than Empress, they are first-class on every level!
