I have always had a love for photography. My dad has always talked about when he bought his first camera in the '60s when he was a teenager and how he was able to capture all the special times back in that era. I bought my very own camera when 17 and it hasn't left my side! Since having my own family and being able to photograph all those special moments I want to be able to share my love with everyone so it can be forever sealed in a photograph.
I am based on Sydney's North Shore and specialise in family portraits, kids photos, weddings and special events such as birthday parties, christenings and parties. I am happy to travel to all areas of Sydney and beyond!

Includes a photo shoot at a location of your choice (at home, beach, park, National Park etc), high resolution, edited digital images sent via dropbox so you can print at your convenience (I can provide details of a Pro Lab where you can have your photos printed), low resolution images suitable for social media, highlights gallery and photographers travel time within a 20km radius of Pymble*.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Derek for a really enjoyable photo session up at Fagan's Park today. We all loved meeting Derek, he is really, really friendly and great with kids. Speaking as someone who truly detests having her photo taken, I actually managed to relax and have a laugh, which is as rare as hen's teeth for me.

Derek has taken our family photos for 5 years now. I could not recommend him more highly. His funny and friendly manner means that the photo shoot is fun for everyone, and he is able to get everyone smiling naturally. He is particularly great with kids. The quality of his photos is exceptional. Derek captures images using natural light, and we have always been delighted with the array of photos which are flattering and beautifully composed. Excellent value for money too.

Derek is a fantastic photographer, and a great person. He effortlessly blends in and interacts well with guests, is well dressed, takes great shots and delivers the best photos which capture the essence of the event. I have had Derek take photos at several family events and a family photo session and he is truly amazing.
