UK registered Architect and Australian building practitioner, Rob Harris, formed Elements of Home in 2005, specialising in residential renovations around the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Elements of Home is a one-stop shop design service. From concept to completion. Together with a select team of design professionals we ensure sure every aspect of the design is managed professionally and effectively.
PgDip (CABD) Rob Harris studied architecture in Glasgow and for several months in Holland. With extensive travel experience throughout Europe his eye for design has grown with his years of experience. Rob has worked on commercial and residential projects both in Scotland and in Melbourne. Rob moved to Melbourne in 2002 and after several years working as an architect in the city, Rob decided to start his own residential design practice.

Hi - I'm Rob and I specialise in residential renovations around Melbourne's South Eastern suburbs. My typical client is a family looking to renovate or extend their current home. Usually they have outgrown their space and realise that moving is unaffordable. My kids are approaching the dreaded teenage years and I understand the dynamics of a growing family.
Rob was fantastic to work with. A great listener, thorough, a clear communicator with quick turnaround times. He left decision making to us but tested any of our non-standard ideas and made smart suggestions (which we ended up using). He went out of his way to be helpful for our specific needs. Great value for money.
We feel so fortunate and grateful to have had Rob work with us on our challenging project. We are first time renovators/builders with no contacts or experience in the industry and, after a very disappointing experience with the first designer we worked with, we desperately needed someone who would look after us.

We engaged Rob to progress our renovation after a few years of deliberating over plans.
He helped us with some quick reality checks on what we can get for our money and took us through various options to allow us to agree a way forward.
We loved his flexibility and the amazing turn around of numerous ideas and changes.
We worked with Rob through the detailed design process and the builder selection process which gave us a solid baseline to work with our chosen builder.
We are very happy with the end result.
