Queensland Solar & Lighting first started as a website way back in 2012, when a young salesman lost his license (driving over 250klms day, getting all those +10kmph tickets) and had to be creative in getting leads to sell solar systems to. The website and customer base continued to grow for another 4 years when Daniel, the owner, thought he could give customers a better experience with hiring his own installers and doing his own admin work.
Things have been going great since then. We even operated out of a cafe that we owned in Phuklet, Thailand. We worked flawlessly from here for 3 years. I have received one of the staff phone call to discuss about which solar system we will go for. before this call we have compared many solar company already and have made our decision go to which company. But we still want to see if there is better option. I asked him what’s the brand of the solar panel and Inverter. He said we have many good brand such as hyundai,fronius, etc, which is not Chinese cheap stuff. And he keep mentioning we don’t use cheap Chinese stuff. I don’t know if he relished that’s I’m Chinese. And I feel very offensive when he said that. I said not all Chinese stuff

I think Qld Solar are good to deal with. Pick your solar product pay your deposit and at the completion pay the balance. It could not be easier. I am very happy with the system and it's production of electricity is above what I expected. However I did find that whilst the installation is very good a bit more care could have been taken. Three tiles were broken and the gutter was badly pushed in from the ladder up against it . I only noticed the gutter recently but I am sure they would have seen it but did nothing to fix it. I would have given them 5 stars but for this. Daniel contacted me about

I had a knock on the door from a man in a yellow suit. At first I thought he was one of the Wiggles but he then went on to explain that he was actually the CEO of a QLD Solar and Lighting and was going to offer me a great deal on a solar install with his company.
I decided to purchase solar from Daniel because it was a quality system for a fair price. I also thought he might be able to use the money from my install to buy a new suit.

We had a very positive experience dealing with Daniel. He designed a unique solar system for our situation. Daniel made himself accessible and took time to answer questions. Follow-up after installation was also excellent. I can highly recommend Queensland Solar & Lighting as a genuine customer who had no prior affiliations with this business. 5 Star experience.
