He grew up in Bacolod, Philippines, and completed his Bachelor of Dentistry in Manila, and practiced dentistry for over 10 years before relocating to Australia.
Accreditation is a continuous assessment process of quality improvement and enhancing the provision of service and patient care in Australia. It is an independent recognition given by Quality Innovation Performance (QIP) that your practice meets the requirements of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards applicable to the dental profession.
A regular visit to your Dentist/Hygienist is important to help keep your teeth and gum healthy. The purpose of a regular dental examination is to monitor your overall oral health and to ensure any conditions are detected diagnosed and treated in the earliest possible time. At SLDC, we begin with a comprehensive examination of the mouth for any concern and conditions which may contribute to your oral health.
Periodontal disease is one of the most common conditions we treat. Though good oral hygiene habits can help to prevent periodontal disease, it can still happen. The earlier we catch it, the easier the treatment Periodontal Disease is an ongoing bacterial infection of the gums often caused by poor oral hygiene, dental plaque, smoking, genetic factors, stress, diet, age, and illness.
Anyone who participates in a sport that carries a risk of a knock to the face should wear a mouthguard. A properly fitted mouthguard helps absorb the shock experienced by a blow to the face that may prevent an injury to the mouth or jaw. In some cases, Injuries such as these can lead to long and potentially costly medical/dental treatment to restore back the normal function and appearance of the teeth and jaw.

I was a first time patient and needed a crown replacement as soon as possible. I’ve been to several clinics and having a replacement can be costly but only in this clinic I felt comfortable in an instant and procedure being explained well. Dr. Marlon was very professional and friendly. Would highly recommend!

They used the latest technology for cleaning my teeth today called GBT which made my experience so comfortable. I normally get anxious as I have sensitive teeth but I definitely felt relaxed with this new technology. Thank you Dr Marlon.

Amazing services, I go there for my check ups and cleanings.
The staff are clearly highly skilled, but still provide a friendly and down to earth experience. I was referred by a family friend, and always look forward coming back every 6 months.

Very Professional, courteous, friendly, talks you through the whats and whys of the process... and probably one of the most important thing for a dental patient... Soft hands when it comes to poking the inside of your mouth with a needle of anesthetic.
One of the highlights of me and my wife's year 2020 is with Dr. Marlon and his crew. A big shout out of endorsement from us.

I have a really bad phobia about going to the dentist. So much so that I might go to one once every decade! But I've finally found a dentist that I would go back to annually!!!! Dr. Marlon Labalan is so gentle, careful, caring and thorough. I never thought a dental appointment and a dental clean could be so pleasant! No more fearing a visit to the dentist!

I saw Dr Marlon Labalan after not having seen a dentist for about 10 years. I found him to be friendly, gentle and thorough. He has state of the art equipment and a modern, clean surgery which made the experience more pleasant. I had been having a funny sensation in my mouth, which caused me to go there in the first place. He took x rays (the results were available immediately) and investigated thoroughly, before telling me I did not have any decay and just need a clean and fluoride treatment. After that I relaxed and the rest of the treatment was a breeze. I appreciate the conservative approach

I just want say that Dr Marlon is a fantastic dentist, the best I’ve had in fact. Having come from the UK to settle in Australia I was looking for a new dentist. Dr Marlon was recommended to me by a friend, and he did not disappoint! The whole team at St Leonards Dental Centre are always very welcoming, it’s a super friendly and relaxing environment to be in. Aside from that though, the quality of Dr Marlon’s work is exceptional.
10/10 in my books. If you need a new dentist, I highly recommend this one.
