Core Development is a creative approach that often works when other forms of therapy haven't been as effective as hoped. Core Development is a learning process rather than a clinical treatment. It has evolved from my international counselling and somatic psychotherapy practice and life experience over a 40-year career.
It can be used on its own, or as an adjunct to other therapy modalities. Many of us experience stress, anxiety, depression, addictions, frustration or relationship difficulties. It's important to know that this does not necessarily mean that there is something wrong with you or that you are mentally ill.

Have you ever wondered why stress and anxiety are still so prevalent in our society, despite there being no shortage of coaching and psychological services available? Could it be that we are confusing our symptoms with the cause? Or have we spent too much time searching for a quick fix instead of addressing why we are so stressed in the first place?
I grew up in Malta where I gradually became aware of the extent of my own and others' emotional and psychological wounding, and how deeply this affected our wellbeing and the way we treat ourselves and each other. After several years of stress, anxiety, depression, and dependence on high dosages of medication, I turned my life around and helped hundreds of individuals, couples and organisations transform their lives over 40 years of practice.
My practice is located in Artarmon, on Sydney's Lower North Shore. It is easily accessed by train - Artarmon station is between St Leonards and Chatswood and my practice is just a few minutes walk from Artarmon train station. My practice is also easily accessible by car, it is very close to the Reserve Road exit off the Gore Hill Freeway, just a few minutes drive from Sydney's CBD, and on-street parking is available.
Psychotherapy is a collaborative process between you and a therapist to enable you to explore and resolve issues that may be blocking you from having the quality of life that you want. Psychotherapy can be of great help with all the above difficulties, however you do not have to have a problem to benefit from Psychotherapy.
Satisfying and supportive relationships are associated with increased psychological well being, and reduced levels of depression and stress. Relationships are key to psychological and physical health. Developing a healthy, satisfying relationship can be difficult. It is not surprising that relationship counselling is a very common reason for visiting a counsellor or psychotherapist.
