Great dinner when you are in the Barossa Valley. Make a reservation. Nice little place, quaint with fireplace. Several good choices and gluten free options available. Shared plates with my sister. We had the small plates, grilled octopus and salad of prawns, then the red snapper with grilled baby fennel. The dessert which I'm usually too full to get was a must! The goat curd mousse with quince, pomegranate and pistachio crumble was the best dessert I've had in a long time. I would go there just for that. It's definitely a shareable size. Delicious wine from the Barossa Valley.

Food was pretty good but service was snobby as could be! Seems like the locals are big fans but if you're a tourist you'll feel out of place, and definitely second class if god-forbid you show up without a reservation at 9pm on a Wednesday night. We made it known we had no problem waiting and were extremely patient waiting 20 minutes for even a drink order...and we still were talked down to by the staff. Way too fussy for our taste for just decent food.

Went to Vintners on Friday night as a part of Barossa Valley weekend mini-break. First of all, this place is absolutely gorgeous. It's really, really romantic. Dimly lit, high ceilings with exposed beams and a fireplace. The staff were welcoming, and we were seated straight away.
After settling in with a glass of Jansz, we decided to order the oysters with lemon marmalade dressing, rolled tuna sashimi with avocado and pork crackling and prosciutto-wrapped scallops for our entrée. The food came out quickly, and looked stunning. The oysters and marmalade was an interesting combination, quite

Top end restaurants are few in the Barossa Valley. This is one of them.
The wine list was the highlight. After two days of touring vineyards, we felt like experts - not! But we had a good time selecting a sparking Barossa wine to start with and a great Eden Valley white to have with the meal.
Our meal was not memorable. I had the fish of the day, but can't remember what it was. No complaints, but no raves.
The special food course for us was dessert: Girolle of Tête de Moine with gingerbread. As much as I'm in to cheeses, I don't think I've ever had shaved cheese on

Went here last night as some of the other restaurants we were recommended were either closed or completely booked for the long holiday weekend. However, definitely glad we ended up here.
The inside has a nice modern ambiance, very simple with white table cloths but also very warming.
We ordered two wines by the glass, the Turkey Flat. It was really delicious and rich, accompanying red meat quite nicely and we might try to pop into that vineyard sometime today.
For entrees we had the blue swimmer crab with avocado and mint and the special which was a buffalo mozzarella tempura with ponzu dipping

This is one of the premier restaurants in the Barossa area. We had dinner here, and it was quiet, although I'm sure it gets busier on weekends (it was a Tuesday night). The service was excellent with very polite waiters, and the food was delicious. I had the duck confit, which was a duck leg and breast done on a bed of mashed potato with caviar to top it all off.
Their wine list is extensive, but there wasn't a huge selection that was available by the glass.
Overall definitely a good place to go for those special occasions, or just for dinner if you've got the money to spend!
