Fame Talent School is a performing arts studio and a new official location for Ready Set Dance, Mackay. We encourage children to reach their personal best. Our focus is to teach our students the importance of goal setting and the steps you need to undertake in order to achieve success for you. We educate our students that everyone is an individual and we all have different measures of success.
At Fame Talent School, we celebrate all achievements. This can be a tiny tot mastering their skipping for the first time to a senior student winning a championship or a first time soloist remembering their dance. The FAME Village is quite FAMEous in our Mackay performance community. The thing with Fame parents, students and teachers is that we are a strong team that support one another.

Ready Set Dance is the early childhood dance syllabus that has captured the attention of 2-5 year olds around Australia. As seen on Nick Jr. this dance program has catchy music appropriate for the age group and is a one hour combo class of jazz, tap, hip hop and singing. Our Ready Set Dance program will be run by Lilly Hayes at Mackay Fame Talent School starting in 2021.
Jazz classes at FAME involve a warm up, skills and technique, choreography and a cool down. Students dance to the latest Top 40 music and have fun learning new steps and technique of Jazz dancing. Jazz classes are great fun, while improving your fitness and co-ordination. Students learn the CSTD Jazz syllabus and can be assessed.
Fame Students are able to participate in a variety of dance solos or duos/trios in competitions. Some of our students choose to travel to out of town eisteddfods as well with their family. Popular ones for Fame students are; Emerald Eisteddfod, Gladstone Eisteddfod, Charters Towers Eisteddfods and others throughout QLD.
Dolly Louw trained in classical, tap, jazz, contemporary and music theatre at Theatre Arts Mackay under the direction and mentorship of Lynette Denny. She graduated in 1995 with Advanced RAD and Gold Cross Tap CSTD. In her early career, she was a member of QLD Young Dancers and appeared in many stage productions as a young student.
