Yesterday I saw Dr Coker regarding a seriously sore throat, tonsils were inflamed and very obviously infected. He sent me away with no further testing and with only a script for codeine. I have recently been having some medical issues and my immune system has been suppressed, due to my throat pain and fevers I have hardly been sleeping or eating, all of which I mentioned to him. He didn't make any effort to swab to double check he just told me I have viral pharyngitis, take the codeine and rest. I decided to get a second opinion today as I was significantly worse.
