At CrossFit Essendon, you will not get lost in the crowd. Our unique coaching and accountability system will help you reach your health and fitness goals in a safe and supportive environment. If you are completely new to CrossFit or been training for several years, then you are welcome at our training facility, located across from Highpoint Shopping Centre in Maribyrnong.

CrossFit training methodology is simple yet highly effective; "Constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity." CrossFit training was created by Greg Glassman in 2000 and has since then become an international phenomenon. Because CrossFit programming is based on functional movements, it has a direct transference into real life situations.
Our Physiotherapists are experts in treating muscle and joint pain as well as sporting injuries. We will give you as much hands on treatment as we deem necessary to help your current pain. We have a fully equipped CrossFit gym at our facility where you can do your rehab and strength exercises from.
CrossFit Burn: A high intensity class designed to improve cardiovascular fitness and maximise calorie expenditure. No advanced barbell or gymnastics exercises in this class. Olympic Lifting: Includes specific progressions for the Clean and Jerk & Snatch. Spend time critiquing and modifying these two movements to help improve you strength in these areas.
CrossFit is a strength & conditioning program which is based on the following: "Constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity." The movements included in CrossFit are those which are used in every day life and include things such as deadlifts, squats, overhead pressing, jumping and running.

Very badly want to give a zero. Had my worst experience in my life with this "physiotherapist" Mark Anile. Been seeing him for a while and i am so upset to say he compromised a surgery on my right shoulder by doing an unnecessary high intensity massage within 5 weeks of my surgery. I was absolutely pain-free and i went to him just for rehabilitation but for no reason he performed a high voltage massage. There was absolutely no need for a massage. He should have just devised an exercise schedule for me but he was in his own world and doesn't have a single clue on what he is doing. I am 100% convinced

Owner decided to ban me and my friend due to covid fears and his personal relationship with a different member. Appears to be deeply unprofessional given my negative test results supplied. Would not recommend anyone attends such an unprofessional gym given the owner's discriminatory policies.

Mark and all the coaches are amazing. The vibe here is like no other gym I’ve experienced. Feels amazing to be welcomed into such a great, supportive community. Work outs are challenging but with constant motivation from other members and coaches is unreal. So happy to have found CrossFit Essendon!

I recently experienced a lower back strain via a workout gone wrong; I contacted Driving Fitness who, through their multiple locations, were able to accommodate me almost immediately! Mark was very professional, and provided effective treatment as well as a clear, concise and effective exercises schedule to assist my treatment and recovery...I was soon back up and running and recommend them highly!

I got referred to Driving Fitness Physio by my doctor after a muscle injury to my wrist due to work/study. Upon initial consultation, Mark (physiotherapist) was professional, friendly and able to identify which muscles were injured and how long recovery would take. During the sessions Mark was able to explain each exercise, its purpose and how it will aid in my recovery - this was extremely helpful as it also allowed me to be informed and educated about my condition.
I would recommend Driving Fitness Physio as an excellent place for physiotherapy related conditions as they are very helpful, professional

Really happy with the level of care at Driving Fitness. I've been attending sessions to work on an ongoing knee problem. Mark has worked with me to develop a plan for my training which actually works because it's so tailored to my normal routine. Having visited a few physios in the past, this is one I would highly recommend.

I have been going to Driving Fitness for a bad ankle injury that has been giving me problems for some time now. Mark was able to provide exercises and muscle therapy to overcome this long term injury. Good work all round

This CrossFit class is a great way to build confidence in yourself. Build on your strength and fitness. The instructors are very knowledgeable and patient in assisting you with correcting your techniques. All members are very friendly and easy going and make you feel very welcomed. All levels of fitness are welcomed to this class. Highly recommend. xx

I had an appointment with Mark from Driving Fitness to have a look at my shoulder. He investigated my shoulder thoroughly and helped develop some exercises to help alleviate the soreness. Since then my shoulder has been much better and I have Mark to thank for that!

I started coming here in Winter last year because I prefer the environment in group exercise classes. Crossfit Essendon didn’t disappoint. It’s a great atmosphere where everyone is welcoming and supportive and all the trainers are there to help you reach your fitness goals. Lastly, because Mark is a physio one of the key things he and the trainers do is to always ensure that your technique is correct and that everything is done safely to prevent injury.
