Gloucester backpackers is the perfect place for the best night's sleep and to enjoy the most incredible and unique nature from the Southern Forest.

With plenty of farms surrounding Pemberton there is plenty of work available which we usually advertise. The Gloucester Backpackers offers an amazing kitchen with all the conditions for a long stay, and function room, a common area, a laundry and ensuite bathrooms. The bar is currently closed but possible reopening during 2018.

We advise you that there is plenty of paid work but also volunteer work around Pemberton, if you wish to help the community please contact the community resource centre for more information. We will always be available to give you information about places where you can work, just ask at reception.

Things To Do Report

Pemberton have a visitor centre where guests can plan their travels throughout Australia. It's highly recommend you visit explore parks during the day light where you can cycle around the amazing tracks and also climb the trees. Alternatively you should go on a day tour to the Cascades, Beedelup falls and Pemberton pool.

Hello Everyone.I am the new manager in Gloucester Motel.For some reason we can’t update the information in google map.But in order to give everyone clear information about our motel. please allow me to write it here:
1.Room Type :
Queen room,deluxe room (1 double bed and 1 single bed ) with TV,fridge, toaster，Micro-Wave）Shower and toilet.
Nothing fancy but simple and cover everything
Dorm or budget room
We also offer lower price for travelers,but for those room customers need to make their own bed.
2.Wifi
So far we only have Wifi in common area but will will Update it soon

Overpriced for what you received
TV you needed binoculars to see it
No towel rails
No dining setting or even a couple lounge chairs
No WiFi
Shower water pressure was very average as only could use the hot water
Walls seemed paper thin

Stayed for one night not cheap for the room we had. The bath basin was broken, bathroom door had holes front and back from what looks like a punch and covered with an A4 piece of paper on each side of the door, the exhaust fan was very noisy and dirty, there was no seating in the room, unfortunately the gardens are overgrown and unkept.
Sorry but would not recommend this motel for the cost.

Run down, needs a refresh, no towel rails in bath room, bed and pillows uncomfortable, bedding old and expensive for what we got. Should not have been advertised as a deluxe room !!

The room was not clean. There was dust and mould every where. Found hair in the bed. And there is more people living here than visiting guests which make you feel like a intruder in their home.
If it's the last resort for accommodation I'd take it. But I would advise finding somewhere else first if possible.

Stayed for one night and I wasn't impressed. Yes it was fairly cheap for the night but the main bedroom mirror was all smudgy, the extractor fan in the bathroom was covered in dust and there was black hair in our bed when we pulled back the sheets. Which definitely was not ours as I have blond hair and hubby has a shaved head.. despite being brick walls you could clearly hear your neighbours and the sliding doors make such a noise. As most of the hotel had been rented out long term to backpacker's you kinda got the feeling that you where intruding on there space. A place to stay If you are desperate

It is very old, moldy, smelly and run down. The restaurant is permanently closed and there's no Wi-Fi. The room felt like a prison cell. The double bed was just two singles pushed together, the ceiling lights didn't work, the fridge wasn't even plugged in and there were quite a few bugs and spiders in the bathroom. Definitely not value for money.

This is not a 5 star hotel/motel so do not expect a 5 star hotel experience. This is actually good for tourists who would need a bed for a night while touring the area or making a stop. Room, bed, carpet and toilets were neat and clean. The rooms we got came with complementary tea, coffee, milk, kettle, toaster, soap, shampoo and a couple of plates and cups. Aircon looked like they were from the 80s but still worked like a charm. Bathroom had hot water. Lights in the room were okay. Overall a good experience.
