We understand that not many people enjoy coming to the dentist, and we want to change that. Our mission is to make dentistry as comfortable and gentle as possible, and if we can, provide you with a dental experience you'll actually enjoy! We are not the cheapest dentist in town, nor are we the most expensive.
Dr Kendy Hwang graduated from the University of Queensland with Honours. Since graduation, she has worked in regional Queensland prior to moving back into Brisbane. Kendy practices all aspects of general dentistry with a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry and oral surgery. As a meticulous practitioner, her gentle and caring manner puts patients at ease in the dental chair.
What does this mean and why does it allow for safer, more accurate and predictable results?. When applied to implant dentistry, this means the implant can be planned for length, depth AND width of the bone. This allows planning of the implant to within an accuracy of 0.1mm. The exact costs always depend on the individual case and the complexity of the situation and require consultation with one of our qualified and experienced dentists.

Making the decision to have Dr Nina as my dentist was the smartest idea I've had all year.
She has an ability to make you feel comfortable, safe and never judged with her calming manner and caring presence making every appointment something to look forward to.

I recently took my 9 year old son to see Richard for a filing. He was so nervous going in, but the staff were all very sweet and calming. Richard has such a friendly, calm, patient and respectful personality, that my son quickly relaxed. He got was so caught up watching Minions that the filling was over and done with and he was still just laying back in the chair without a care in the world. It was such a positive experience for him, I could not have asked for more. I am so grateful to Richard and his staff for being so caring. They didn't push or rush my son and made sure he felt safe and comfortable

Dr Richard is my regular dentist for many years now. Though I have done many treatments, cleaning and checkups with him, this is the 2nd time I am writing a review. Yesterday I went for a regular checkup and he found a abnormal cavity by accident seeing some food particles. Immediately he took the X-rays and completely cleaned it and filled it perfectly. I would have gone through a big complex procedure if it was not found. He didn’t only did the treatment great, but explained to me everything in detail as usual too. His assistance Alice and friendly Vivian to be thanked heaps too.

I have attended a few dentist services in my life yet I have never reviewed any other service with such conviction. Gateway dental was recommended by a friend who’s child had needed work.
An oversight I hadn’t taken my children for dental checkups until the eldest was 5. Fortunately they didn’t require anything other than 6 monthly reviews.

By far and large the best dental experience I've had. Had a checkup and 2 wisdom teeth extracted from Dr. Richard Chee. What sets Dr. Chee apart from any other dentist I've been to is his extraordinarily patient/gentle demeanor and ability to thoroughly answer any question you may have.
He'll sit down and go over pictures, xrays, and scans with you and ensure that everything is explained and your mind is at ease before anything is conducted/before you leave.

I was searching for a dentist with good reviews on google, and came across Gateway Dental Health and Dr Nina with a solid 5.0 score so I thought let's give it a go. I never regretted my decision.
Entering the clinic, I was greeted with a warm smile and friendly welcome from the lady receptionist, and immediately knew it would be a good experience. The equipment was state-of-the-art, and Dr Nina was very patient in explaining the my dental health condition. She also presented multiple treatment options for me to choose from, with detailed pros and cons for each.
Overall, a 100% positive experience

I 100% love this dentist. Was welcome by the lovely Receptionist Vivian, which made me feel so at ease. The lovely Dr Richard was so accommodating and very informative with a lovely soft persona, along with his lovely assistant who made my time there pleasurable. Going to a dentist can be daunting, but Gateway Dental made it very enjoyable. You can watch a big screen tv while getting attended too. Thankyou

I have been to quite a number of dental practices but definitely Gateway Dental Health excels them all. From the good facility to the friendly and professional staffs makes me feel relax and at home straight away. Dr Nina Ong is very caring and excellent in her work. I have a tooth extraction and this is the 1st time I experienced no pain dental… work. The inter-dental photography is also new to me and really it's a nice additional touch. First time I can see clearly all of my teeth in and out (and ouch, my teeth are so...ugly!) I highly recommend Gateway Dental to anyone.

From the first call for an inquiry, to my first treatment (with more to come), I have been greeted with the most absolute kindness from every single person in this practice. Even while having my treatment, they were so gentle and caring.
They let you know exactly what is going on and talk to you about the process ect. Also, as long as you talk to… them, they can work something out within budget, as they have different kinds of payment plans.
By far, the best dentist I have been to! I’m happy that I have chosen this practice to do all my treatment and carry on with, I highly recommend

Dr Richard and his amazing team were beyond terrific! I came in for the first time highly anxious and nervous. Upon chatting to Richard, he walked me through what he was going to do and he was soo gentle especially when when numbing my mouth with the needle. He constantly checked in with me to make sure I was doing fine and if I needed a break. I highly recommend gateway dental. Definitely not like any other dentist I have been too! Being able to watch Netflix was also a nice distraction!
