Services
Physio Plus has offered professional, progressive Physiotherapy services to the Northern Rivers since 1990. We look forward to helping you with your recovery. Physiotherapists hold a university degree and are highly trained in the recognition and physical treatment of disorders affecting the musculo-skeletal system.
Encourage gentle movements and stretches or exercises (where appropriate), to help normalize movement patterns or to mobilize joints and nerves. Liaise closely with all parties involved (doctor, other healthcare providers, employer, insurer), resulting in clear communication and a consistent message to all.
An accredited Exercise Physiologist (EP) is a tertiary graduate of Exercise Science or Human Movement studies, capable of meeting the stringent accreditation criteria determined by Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
EP's are ideally suited to providing exercise and physical activity as a treatment strategy in physical rehabilitation, as a strategy for disease prevention, and physical conditioning to facilitate sustained functional independence.

These assessments help identify injuries and those at risk for developing injuries due to biomechanical problems and correct these with appropriate treatment. Our lower limb assessment includes a Gaitscan to map foot mechanics and could lead to the prescription of flexible low profile orthotics. We work closely with coaches in the area and communicate findings of these assessments to them for possible modifications to training and techniques.
Physio Plus offers specific Spinal Stability and Mobility Classes instructed by experienced Physiotherapists for those patients with Back problems or wanting to prevent Back problems. Supervised spinal mobility classes are designed to improve spinal flexibility in those with restriction, or those at risk of developing restriction.
