We use a combination of traditional methods such as hand dovetailing and carving, while using ultra-modern machinery to precision machine, dress and dry our timbers. Every master piece is crafted from us going out and hand selecting logs to then ship to our yard and band-mill them ourselves to have complete quality control and continuity of timber.
This puts us above the rest because we can then choose and book match every board to best suite the piece of furniture and the client. We also frequently have our clients hand select there own boards to put in there piece of furniture!, making every single piece unique and special to the owner. We source our timber through the Tasmanian Fine Timbers chain of custody.

Services
With over 40 years experience, we source our timber through the Tasmanian Fine Timbers chain of custody. We respect the need to sustainably harvest. We want our industry to be still here in the next century and centuries to come. We ourselves proudly mill, air- and kiln-dry all of the special species timber we use.
Myrtle trees grow in Tasmania's cool temperate rainforests and in the understorey of the mixed wet eucalypt forests in Tasmania's wetter regions. The wood colour varies from pink to a deep red brown; fiddle-back and burl figure is highly valued. It is a hard, very close grained wood and works and polishes well to a fine finish.
