The team at Platinum Floor Sanding and Polishing have been satisfying their residential and commercial clients needs for the past 20 years. We are committed to providing the best and most affordable finish for every client. We pride ourselves on excellence, both in craftsmanship and customer service, our focus being client satisfaction.
3 The large sanding machine cannot reach close to the skirting boards therefore this area is sanded by a smaller "edging" machine. We then sand again with a medium grade paper, following which the whole floor surface is vacuumed and the nail holes filled with a wood filler, colour matched to your particular wood species.
Normally sanding & finishing is a 2/3 day process, but allow four in case the finish isn't dry from one day to the next, depending upon weather conditions. Yes, however access to the floors will be restricted because of the need for a certain amount of drying time each day. A coat of oil or polyurethane takes 8-12 hours to dry - a coat of water base poly takes 4-6 hours to dry.
