The concept design stage commences by establishing with the client their project objectives, budget and constraints. After this has been discussed and fully understood, we then review all the local planning and building controls. A detailed survey of existing site conditions is then completed. The next step is to produce sketches that clearly explain and achieve the original aim and concept of the client's brief and budget.
This stage of the development is where we develop further the approved concept design and discuss the internal and external choices of material and building finishes for the project while simultaneously working towards the most cost effective solution. We pride ourselves in staying well-informed on all aspects of building material developments.
Once we have reached this stage, and all agree that the overall completed design has achieved your aims and budget, preparation of working drawings and specifications can commence. The preparation of working drawings and specifications is to ensure your project is constructed to your full expectations and to comply with all the local building authority regulations.
Our company works with a range of very experience consultants and registered builders. It's at this stage of the project that our expertise can be very useful. Once a builder has been selected, we can assist with the selection and preparation of the appropriate building contract to be signed by you and the builder.
