Eyre Peninsula local, Matt Hayman, and his wife Courtney started their Physiotherapy business, Hayman's Physiotherapy in a spare room in their house, before moving it into their shed in 2013. After a few years of hard work, Matt's dream to move premises came to fruition and, in 2015, moved to Washington Street and EP Physio Plus was born.
For Medicare funding and some types of DVA we do require you to have a Doctors referral in order to receive Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology treatment. You do NOT need a referral however if you are a private patient and may just book direct online or call to book on 8682 6665. Our Physios & Exercise Physiologists work with pre-booked appointments and are often filled up days or weeks in advance.
At EP Physio Plus our Physiotherapists can help with anyone experiencing pain, movement limitation or dysfunction, weakness, changes to sensation (in the form of pins and needles or numbness), and/or impaired function at any point in your daily life. However, you don't need an injury to receive the benefits of a physio treatment.
Exercise Physiology, or EP, is a newer profession to the health field that ties in perfectly with our goals and vision at EP Physio Plus. Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) often work hand-in-hand with our Physiotherapists to get you optimising your function or recovery.
Exercise Physiology is the study of how the body responds to exercise, not just with a fitness focus, but also in relation to injury, chronic disease, pain and/or disability.AEPs are tertiary trained with extensive knowledge about human anatomy, physiology, illness and injury.

We have a variety of groups and classes on offer at EP Physio Plus. Please see the timetable below of our sessions currently on offer. As some of the classes are seasonal or run during school terms only, please call the clinic on 8682 6665 to confirm what is on offer at the moment. All sessions require slightly different assessments to satisfy some Private Health and Medicare conditions.
