Examination and diagnosis: At the initial consultation, Dr Linnett will aim to get to know your child in a relaxed friendly environment which may include some or all of the following.
Although we focus on prevention, inevitably some children will experience tooth decay and some children will come to our surgery for management of existing decay. To ensure your child's dental visit is as pain free as possible and to do quality dental treatment, we recommend routine use of local anaesthetic.
Sometimes tooth decay causes infection inside the tooth or jaw bone. In this situation, it is too late to place a filling and the tooth needs more complex treatment known as pulp therapy. If this is not done, it is likely the tooth will abscess. Apart from potentially causing severe pain, the infection may also damage the new tooth underneath.
Very young children, very anxious children or children requiring multiple painful procedures may be best treated under general anaesthesia. Our team of paediatric specialist anaesthetists are available to discuss any concerns you may have regarding the general anaesthetic. Our team of specialist anaesthetists offers the safest form of treatment compared to sedation where there is no control of the airway.

Such a great place, they were able to fit us in much sooner then other places. Their communication and care was perfect. My young son still loves dentists and wants to attend in the future and this is worth every cent. Even better they have Zippay. I'll be back here for future checks after being let down by previous dentists not capturing everything.

My 4 yr old daughter had her treatment here, she did require a fair bit of work so we opted for General anaesthesia.
I am very happy we chose Brisbane paediatric dentistry, everyone was lovely from the reception staff, nurses, anaesthesiologist and of course Dr Linnett. I’d recommend this practice to anyone who requires dental treatment for their child. Thank you

Had my daughter come here as they don't need any dentist referrals. My daughter also had very bad teeth decay and needed an emergency procedure done. All the other prediatric dentists were fully booked and waiting periods were more than a month. The doctors and dentists were kind enough to fit in and let us have a consultation and procedure done within 2 days despite having fully booked sessions. Dentists were very professional and informative. Well worth the price and treatment went smoothly. Highly recommend!
