I'm a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist - so my job is to help you recover from injury and/or pain that comes from your muscles, joints, bones and nervous system. I have a passion for education, and when that is combined with a whole range of other modalities, such as massage and mobilisation, exercise, taping, acupuncture and biomechanical and technique analysis, patient outcomes are optimised.
This is my mission. Over my 22 years of practice, I have been sought out by many people, including over ten Olympic track and field gold medalists and World Champions and World record holders. For eight years, I was the consultant physiotherapist for World leading London based sports management company "PACE Sports Management", and in Australia by "Melbourne Track Club".

Services
My career as a Physiotherapist started as a student at Curtin University. Since graduating I have had one of the most varied careers of any physiotherapist in Australia. You could loosely describe my career as happening in three phases. Immediately following graduating as a physio, was working in private practice, treating a range of people and ailments.
Acute injuries mainly happen when you turn your foot or ankle. In some of these injuries, pain following injury can resolve prior to the body reaching its full healing capacity. On occasion, people can have relatively minor swelling and pain, but more significant injury. As a result, gaining an accurate diagnosis and advice regarding minimising the risk of future injury should be routine.
Knee pain can present the whole spectrum of issues. From young children with "growing pains" (by the way, growing doesn't hurt), to the elderly with "worn out" knees, ligament tears, "tracking", tendonitis and swelling. Symptoms such as stiffness or giving way, pain or numbness, sharp or dull, localised and easy to locate or generalised pain.
The hip region is interesting because problems around that area can be influenced by issues at various other parts of the body. For example, some people can experience hip pain that is coming from another area of their body, such as their back. Other times, vague hip pain can be the clue to deeper injury such as stress fracture.
Most back pain can be traced back to one or a small number of factors - and therefore trying to work out why you're experiencing your symptoms is a key step. Did you bend over to pick something up? Well you've probably just strained something. Have you had the problem for longer, or does it keep coming back?

Attended Cam’s clinic with a running injury.
He quickly diagnosed my injury and treated it accordingly.
I attended once per week for treatment, within 6 weeks he thought I was fit enough to start training again. He took the time to change my running style and write me a fitness plan. Never looked back.
Made my time professional but pleasurable.
Thoroughly recommend Cam.

Cameron Johnson's level of assessment, actual treatment and focus on long-term recovery and issue maintenance are first class. He delivers treatment in a calm and highly professional manner and instils confidence in the patient that they will be back on track in no time! The value of seeking treatment from a physio with a real understanding of sport is unquestionable - I would really recommend him for a Complete Physio every time.
