Gentle Touch Dental is a well-known dental clinic in Leichhardt, having been a presence for several decades. It was taken over by Dr Pavithra Shetty in 2005, who knew she wanted to practice in our area. With a convenient proximity to the city and other suburbs, our team enjoys giving excellent dental care to our family-orientated community.

Growing up around healthcare providers, Pavi knew early on she would enter the medical field. With a doctor father, uncles who were doctors and dentists and a sister who is a dentist, she knew she wanted to work in healthcare. Pavi trained overseas, finishing her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in India.

At Gentle Touch Dental, our dentists have a strong focus on preventative dentistry services to ensure your smile stays sparkling. HealOzone is used to get rid of bacteria around caries to sterilise the area and speed up healing.

I have been using Gentle Touch Dental for the past 8 years. In this time I had fillings, cleaning and an implant and I had a consistently great experience. Ms Shetty is my key dentist at the practice and I feel I am in good hands. The reason is that its not just about fixing what is the issue right now, but a well explained forward plan to keep my teeth as healthy as possible. Great service.

I've been coming to Gentle Touch Dental for 15 years now and they have been exceptional for all the treatments I've had. Pavi is a lovely dentist who is very friendly and always makes me feel comfortable when I come into the clinic as well as the other staff. I haven't gone to any other dental clinic because I haven't encountered the highly professional, painless and personable experience I've had at Gentle Touch Dental, I highly recommend them they're excellent at what they do.

When myself & my family attended the clinic many, years ago, there was only Pavi & her technician/receptionist Deb. We have all watched the clinic grow & over the years it has always aspired to keep it's friendly, professional, courteous & most of all, "painless" service. Over the years we had moved away, but we all still manage to travel back to Pavi & her team as they always make our visit to the dentist a comfortable experience.

I've been going to see Pavi for all of my dentistry needs for years. The name of this dentistry is so apt because Pavi is so gentle and always tells you what she is about to do and what to expect beforehand. In fact I don't even need numbing cream or an injection she is honestly that gentle. Whilst that might not be your choice, it has become mine.

Gentle Touch Leichhardt is an outstanding dental facility! Having had check ups and treatment there for a number of years, Alan (my husband) and I, can personally attest to the high level of expertise and attention at this particular dentistry. I have had several major dental procedures, as well as basic teeth maintenance, at Gentle Touch dentist and have always been more than satisfied. Dr Pavi Shetty and her team are very caring, experienced and efficient. The surgery has a friendly atmosphere and it is also good to feel confident of their integrity. Have been attending here for over 30 years usually for biannual checkups. Recently had Root Canal and can honestly say it was so much easier, straightforward and pain free than I thought it was going to be. All the staff are very caring, friendly and wonderful and do their best to make your experience pleasant. They really do have the gentle touch. Can recommend very highly.
