Services
Aus Ship P&I Pty Ltd. was formed in 1995 in response to the need by the P&I Clubs and Hull Underwriters for a commercial correspondent in Australia. Since its founding, Aus Ship has become Australia's foremost Commercial Correspondent representing the majority of P&I Clubs and acting for a number of Hull Underwriters and Brokers.
When a shipowner appoints Aus Ship to attend to a vessel calling in Australian Ports they have access to a vast range of services all under the one roof. For example, an Aus Ship staff member may be a marine surveyor, a justice of the peace, and a lawyer or paralegal. So, when attending a vessel they can perform a survey, take a witness sworn statement whilst understanding throughout the legal issues and implications.
We believe that, as a Commercial Correspondent, Aus Ship can respond to the real needs of P&I Clubs, Underwriters and Shipowners in a cost-effective manner without compromising quality. Essentially, there are only two alternatives for Clubs, Underwriters and Shipowners in relation to correspondents in Australia.
