Green Survival, a landscape and horticultural service provider, was founded by Denis Fitzpatrick in 1979. Since then Green Survival's qualified staff have delivered many quality landscape and horticultural services to a wide range of clients throughout Brisbane and South East Queensland. The quality has in fact been recognized 18 times by the peak body for landscape in Queensland, presenting Green Survival with 18 awards for excellence.

Some of these projects are featured on our website. Green Survival has also provided excellent training for many professionals now operating their own landscape business throughout South East Queensland. In 2013 Green Survival employee Rory was awarded the top apprenticeship award for landscape in Queensland.

Green Survival Landscapes has a proud heritage that spans well over 35 years; and in this time has become highly skilled and knowledgeable in all areas and aspects of landscape and construction industry. Green Survival prides itself in designing, constructing, and caring for award winning landscapes. This passion extends all the way back to 1984, when they won their first Landscape Construction Excellence Award for a Japanese garden. Green Survival has then gone on to win over 18 awards for landscape construction excellence.
Here at Green Survival, we believe retaining walls should be a structure built to last without requiring regular maintenance or re-doing in 5-10 years. Utilising the best construction principles we have constructed retaining walls across Brisbane in the past 30 years which have not required any maintenance or rectification.
There is an 'urban myth' out there that suggests paving laid on a concrete base is superior to one that isn't. I have seen jobs where the base concrete has been poorly laid or with incorrect drainage falls. In this instance the concrete usually cracks under the paving with resulting cracks in the paving.
